Anyone know of anyone wo has the new Zilla's and have any feedback on them. I like the tread patttern. Remind me of a cross between my swamplites and a mudlite.

Gearslayer just got a set of those, here's his initial review;

I will say that since I am on my second Grizz 700 buildup and having just got some 28" Zillas on ss12's....these 28's ARE A LIGHT SETUP! The quad is all stock (not for long) and it flings these 28's with ease. When I stab it from a stand still in high...it comes right up for a nice wheelie. These is my initial thoughts. Finally a trail friendly 28" tire that is not heavy. I wanted these specifically for thier weight and size and tread pattern. I'll do a review when I get more time on them.

sounds enticing to say the least. the 27"s will be even that much lighter. Thanks Scott.

From what I've heard they're unbelievably light. Even more light than the 26ers I'm getting ready to buy. I wonder what ply they are? Hmm. Time for more research. :confused2:
AT28X9-14 ..........23.9
AT26X9-14 ..........21

AT27X9-12 ..........21.5
AT26X9-12 ..........20.2

All weight are in pounds

They are 6 ply rated.

Did the same earlier. I used the rear 27 10 12 which is 24.3 pounds My 26 Swamplites are 30 pounds so I am already down 12 pounds in the rear.

It sounds like they will be a great compromise hopefilly the lighter tire does come with puncture problems.

I think he meant "does not".

I sure hope so.
I feel sure he meant the light weight probably = softer material and is therefore concerned with the puncture resistance especially because there is a lot of open space on the tire for hole makers to get at. And I can def. see his concern because those numbers posted by GrizzlyWizard are off the chart for a 28" tire. Oh boy. I hope we don't have plug zilla's in the making. :dontknow:

I'd be more worried that they wear quickly with the soft compound. Only time will tell. I'm looking forward to the review. :eek:ccasion14:
I's just joking around...sheez :violent5: I'm looking forward to the review as well. I almost bought a set but too many people I talk to are getting them or are getting ready to get them...and they just didn't "do it" for me. I dare to be different
