Not sure this is the forum to post this, let me know for next time.

Went on a ride yesterday headed towards one of my favorite places from spring thru fall. Never been there in the winter. But having bought some tracks, figured I'd visit the place. What a great day. :cold:
Just me, the sun, the snow, some turkey's, couple coyotes, & a skunk ! ... :bootyshake:

Anyway, headed out across this meadow in two wheel drive .... when the bottom fell out from beneath me ..... had to back up, put it in low diff lock & then I gunned it. What a blast !!! The tracks pulled me out. I honestly thought I'd be there for a while .... especially since I ride alone. ;;t;;
Later, just checking out the country & the tracks. I'm impressed. :cheer:

Well, hope you all enjoy the flicks.

Later ...
:headbang:

Ok Gunny, you're not allowed to show any more pictures of the tracks! :cussing: LMAO! Just kidding bro. That looked like a good time. I didn't realize you had tracks! Those machines are hard to stop with a good set of tires, I can't imagine how good they'd go with a set of tracks.

How do the tracks affect speed? How does it change the handling? Does it kill the turning radius?

BattleGun - the Grizz with tracks is unreal. A couple months ago, I came across a sled rider who had ripped his track in half. He was down a steep embankment about 25 or 30 feet. I hooked up to him, put in four low with the diff lock & started backing up .... wanted to see if I'd spin out like with tires ..... never spun a track. Pulled the sled all the way to the top & onto the flat. I was impressed as was the sled rider.

Speed is about half. When my speedo reads 40 mph, the GPS reads about 23 or 24 mph. It handles great ... to me ... it CAN be a bear to turn at times (no pun intended) ... so I ride in two wheel drive as much as possible. Then it turns almost as good as tires.
With the tracks, the bike uses about twice as much fuel too, that's why all the gas cans. Never used it all yet & I've went as far as 50 GPS miles & spent a lot of those miles in four wheel drive. I didn't use any the day of these flicks, but I only went 25 GPS miles.
Great fun ......... :cheer:

Glad everyone has enjoyed the flicks so far .... the melt is on, so I can't wait to see how muddy I'm gonna get with these ......... :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumleft:

Later ....
