That was an interesting race, because there were two Rhino's and 6 Rzr's in the race. The other Rhino was a supercharged big bore, and got the holeshot on the one mile long uphill start straight. My Rhino was DEAD LAST to the first turn. All it had was bolt on intake, exhaust, and jetting mods, and it was a dog. In the first 7 miles I passed my way from last overall to second overall though. The supercharged Rhino had already dropped out at that point due to what turned out to be an ignition failure. I had just passed the Rzr in that picture on a steep downhill that dropped into that wash we were in. It had not been a matter of who had the most power on that downhill, but rather, who held the throttle down longest before braking for the turn into the wash. I passed him by out braking him.
I DNF'd that race several miles after that picture was taken, due to a broken steering knuckle. All together four of the Rzr's DNF'd, and both Rhino's DNF'd the race. Two Rzr's finished, and one of those had rolled on a downhill off camber turn, and looked like hell when it got to the finish line.
