I always try to hook to the lowest point possible.

A Yamaha what?

A banshee will have different pulling points that say a Grizzly.
You always want to use the lowest point possible like turtle said. Don't use the rack or bumper. Try and use the frame if possible.
Best to use a tow rope and d-ring as well. Look the tow rope behind the bumper, take both ends and secure with a d-ring. Winch from the d-ring. You will spread the load out among the whole bumper and have less of a chance of bending something.
what ever you do, never hook up to your winch hook unless you are winchin, the stress on the winch will strip your planetarys or deform the gears, on the frontuse oem hook points, or base of bumper attachments, rear use tow hitch.
