I'm stumped...what wheels are those Bandit?
If I told you I would have to kill you. :boxing1:

I looked for ever to find some wheels that i have never seen before. It just seems like if you have a 700 Grizzly you must buy ITP Wheels. ITP's are bada$$ but i just wanted to be different. So i found these and they are called Super Grip 5 spokes.
Excellent. I like them. I'm with you though...I have ITP's and I'm looking forward to something different!
Like those Super Grip Wheels. Price is good to. Nebraska Tire sels them if I remeber correctly.

I thought the same thing bandit, and likewise wanted to get different wheels, but the other brands are just expensive. Those wheels look really good as well as the tires. Great selection.
Hey everyone... Nice tires and some pretty BIG tires too. I am currently shopping for tires and wheels and I am looking for public opinion on tire sizes in reference to front vs rear.
Most of the riding that I do is trail type riding in the rocky Utah Paiute trails. I was thinking I would stay with 12x7" wheels and do the same size tire (Maxxis Bighorn radials) in a 25x10 all the way around. Has anyone had any issues running 10"s on all fours as opposed to 8"s in the front?
I think the Big Horns by Maxxis are going to be the toughest tire to go with. But the Terracross tire seems to stick like glue to the trail. Both tires are radial so you are going to get a smooth ride out either.

Size really depends on rider preference. 25" will not rob as much power as 26", and you really do not gain much additional clearance. Some prefer the looks of a 26" or 27" tire. I think they take away a lot of power and handling characteristics myself. But this may be arguable by many.

You an run the same width on the front as the rear. Only thing you will notice is more difficulty steering. But power steering quads solve that issue.

Hope this helps!

Gdub is right on point. I also concure that the Bighorns are a great option for the type riding you mentioned desertrat. You might also consider the Terracross's or even the new Bajacross's look like they might be good for that purpose.

FWIW, I'm running stockers now. They are 26" directional tread, radial Carisle's off the show room floor. They pretty good too. But I would rather have Bighorns, Terracross, or something similiar.

I'm still running the Swamp Lites I bought off Thom. They are wearing fast. They are great in the snow, but I liked my Mud Lite XLs much better on hard trails. The Swamp Lites have a lot of sidewall flex and that slows the handling, kind of like stock tires. They do make the ride more comfortable though.
I think I will stick with the Bighorns for now.
I am considering going up to a 26 x12 x12 in the rear and 26 x 9 x 12 in the front. The issue I am having now is that the wheels I want come in 8" and 6" widths.
I want a thinner wheel to tire ratio than stock to keep rocks from striking the wheel.

What is public opinion on mounting a 9" wide tire on a 6" wheel on the front and a 12" tire on a 8" wheel??

never mind i changed my mind again.... 26x9x14 mounted on ITP SS212 6" on front, and 26x11x14 on rear mounted on 8" .
