I think the XTR's are just an OK fit for my type of riding. Don't get me wrong. I think it's an excellent tire, just not an excellent one for me. If I got in the mud a lot, I might would appreciate them more. To me they serve more of a cosmetic purpose than true usefulness.

My first thought on them when I got them out the first time wasn't extremely positive. I ride a lot of hard packed red clay or loose dirt trails. To me, they tend to wander more than I would like on that type of terrain.

My next tire will be something more like the ITP Holeshot and very possibly WILL BE the holeshot. I've got them on another bike and they hookup extremely well and ride quite well too.

Oh I have no issues with how they perform but I got them without getting aftermarket rims. With the Sportsman 700, having wider tires rubbed the outter rubber covering on my tie rod ends and forced me to have to replace them. I now run 1.5" spacers that make the bike even wider than it already is. My next tire purchase will be 25" or 26" and a normal width in the front.

26" Swamplites. i like them with exception of wear factor. Center lugs wear real quick. I will get another set but will go to a 27". I am also interested in the new Maxis Zillas. I do not know anyone who has them yet.

I believe Dicks ATV has the Zillas or can get them.

True statement. Dicks ATV DOES have them. Nice price too for the 26's. Just wasn't the tire I was looking for.

Mostly I use 25" Bighorns on 12" black type 7s.
I also use the 27" XTRs on 14" polished type 7s.

I agree 100%.

My next tires will probably be a set of PXT's. I had them on my Sportsman 700 and they had over 1200 miles on 'em when I got rid of it. They rode nice, wore nice, and hooked up nice.

I agree with that. polaris puts the best stock tires on there ride bar none. I had them on my 700 Popo. Nice tread design and agressive enough for the goop.

I run 28" dirt devils now and have run 26" mudlites. I am getting a lift now and am going even bigger on my 660 grizzly. My wife runs Kenda Executioners on her 450 polaris 27x10x12 on front and 27x12x12 on the rear. We try and do alot more mud riding than fast trails.I run c-series 5's on my grizzly and she runs polaris aluminum wheels for the offset.
