Most chips will provide a slight HP increase and really only advance the timing a few degrees. Where they really start showing their true shine is when combined with other power mods like a better flowing exhaust, air filter/air box and fuel controller or carburetor mods. That's when you can really take advantage of that new timing curve.
What performance chip to buy?
I just purchased a 2008 Polaris Ranger 700 XP. I am going to use it for plowing my driveway which has a bit of a grade so I am concerned about the power to push the snow up hill. I have no idea what chip to buy or if chipping it is the best option? Will it really make that much of a difference or is there other better options.

Thank you for your reply. I just purchased a DMC exhaust & not sure what to purchase for a chip. I see the mangum Dyno-Boost all over the net but have no idea what to get. Can anyone give an opinion for a chip for an 2008 Polaris Ranger XP 700?
