You folks can rest much better now knowing that the U.S. Senate has passed a bill that will revise and strengthen the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Part of this bill has provisions to improve the safety of all-terrain vehicles which includes standards in which The Specialty Vehicle Institute of America has developed.
This could be a good thing, but I personally have a problem trusting the SVIA since they also have a hand in lobbying for more state ATV laws. We will see what transpires from this. Hopefully it is positive.
