If you spend a lot of time in dry dusty conditions I think the oiled foam Uni air filter is better. K&N filters flow more than oiled foam filters, but the oiled foam filters do a better job of filtering. At least a quality foam filter like Uni does a better job, ... not sure I would say the same for the stock foam filter. Make sure you use a good quality foam filter oil though.

I actually didn't check for a KN for the grizzly, just assumed it was out and I knew they are traditional 2-3 x the price of the uni

I'll just snag the uni and some bel ray filter oil

If you want just air flow and don't worry about dirt in your engine then the K&N is the way to go. The uni will flow as good but it filters alot better. Clean engine= Happy engine

The amount of air it flows worries me, but I would think K&N has done their testing. Likewise, I think the rubber surround may be a real good thing since the foam filters can let dirt by in the front of the filter box.

I would have to agree with 3TV on this one. UNI is great in dusty conditions, price is reasonable.

I love my Uni. It filters great. Its twice as thick as the stock filter. I do think the air flow is better. My machine was running rich.....threw in the Uni and it seems to have straightened it out a bit.

I run the K&N with a filterskin and love it. When riding away from my garage all weekend I can just pull the filterskin off and clean and dry that, saving the actual filter cleaning for home. I've also noticed absolutely no dust in the intake ahead of the filter. The K&N is also easier to clean and oil (if you get the spray type oil) than the foam filters IMO.

I'm with 3TV on this one, every thing he has said is right on and the UNI works great.
K&N has a new filter for the 700 now at around $70 but most dealer's don't carry it.
I started out wanting the K&N due to past use on auto's,but there product is not better on quads unless you never end up in a dusty area. UNI is alot less money and is easy to clean and replace if need be.JMO

I already posted to this MY BAD.
