</td> </tr> <tr> <td width="100%">
</td> </tr> </tbody></table> Just about every utility ATV owner today most likely has some form of rack storage for their quad. And if you don’t already own a storage container then most likely you are in the market for one. When we began building our Project Rancher, one thing we knew we needed was a spacious and durable front and rear rack box to fulfill our storage needs. The specifications for this box was to be very roomy without being too bulky, have a comfortable seat, have locking compartments to protect our valuables, needs to be somewhat water resistant, be very strong and durable and needs to look good.
So we contacted Richard Carnegie at Tamarack ATV and we explained to him about our Project Rancher and he was immediately interested in the project. Within a week, Richard shipped us a Titan Luxury Lounger for the rear rack and a Titan V-Front box for the front rack.

</td> <td width="82%">The Tamarack ATV Titan Luxury Lounger and the V-Front boxes are made from UV-stabilized, virgin linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE). Other manufactures make their boxes with re-ground plastics or high-density polyethylene (HDPE) that will not withstand the same abuse that a Tamarack ATV box can. LLDPE has greater impact resistance since it is not rigid and brittle like HPDE. The Tamarack boxes will withstand an impact of 50 foot pounds even at a chilling negative 40 degrees! Tamarack ATV even offers a 2 year warranty on their boxes but I seriously doubt you will ever have a claim on this warranty.</td> </tr> </tbody></table> <table style="border-collapse: collapse;" id="AutoNumber5" border="0" bordercolor="#111111" cellpadding="10" cellspacing="10" width="100%"> <tbody><tr> <td width="80%">Both boxes boast universal mounting capability that will attach to virtually all standard tubular and composite ATV Racks. All mounting hardware is provided for a quick and easy installation. Riders will also take comfort on the thick seat padding and padded back and armrest and molded handles. These boxes will not crack, warp or dent under extreme temperatures and the Tamarack boxes are key lockable, water and dust resistant to protect your gear and they are available in 3 colors, black, red or green.</td> <td width="20%">

</td> <td width="74%">The installation instructions mentioned removing the racks from the Rancher in order to mount the box but I really didn’t want to go through with the trouble of removing the racks so I simply put the box on the rack, centered it up and carefully eyeballed and drilled the necessary holes to install the u-bolts. I placed two u-bolts on each side and the Tamarack ATV box is securely fastened. The same installation procedure worked for both front and rear boxes. I did find that after a few days of hardcore riding that it would not hurt to place some sort of rubberized material at certain contact points between the rack and the box to minimize scratching the rack. I simply took an old black water hose, cut it to the desired lengths, cut a slit down the middle and installed onto the rack.</td> </tr> </tbody></table> <table style="border-collapse: collapse;" id="AutoNumber8" border="0" bordercolor="#111111" cellpadding="10" cellspacing="10" width="100%"> <tbody><tr> <td width="50%"> </td> <td width="50%"> </td> </tr> </tbody></table>

</td> <td width="74%"> I know just about everyone enjoys the geology of West Virginia but I seriously doubt anyone wants to eat it as the main ingredient on their ham and cheese sandwich. The Tamarack ATV box was superb in keeping the elements out of the box and keeping my lunch safe and sound. The second day of this ride was a cold 50 degree day with heavy rain all day long. Even though this kind of weather makes riding uncomfortable, it did however make for great real world testing of the Tamarack ATV boxes. </td> </tr> </tbody></table> <table style="border-collapse: collapse;" id="AutoNumber10" border="0" bordercolor="#111111" cellpadding="10" cellspacing="10" width="100%"> <tbody><tr> <td width="73%">The Tamarack ATV boxes claim to be water tight but we did manage to get just a little water in the box at a small slit where the rack strap exits the box. A simple quick fix is to just put a small bead of silicone at this area to prevent this in the future. But this was a very small amount of water and it really wasn’t enough to be concerned about.</td> <td width="27%">

Conclusion
<table style="border-collapse: collapse;" id="AutoNumber12" border="0" bordercolor="#111111" cellpadding="10" cellspacing="10" width="100%"> <tbody><tr> <td width="26%">
</td> <td width="74%"> The price of these boxes may seam a little on the expensive side when you first see the price tag but I have personally had to replace my old rack bag every 8-12 months because these bags just aren’t durable enough for moderate to extreme riding conditions. The bags, allow water and dust to enter, the zippers usually malfunction and the straps usually break when you least expect it. So basically by the time you replace 2 or 3 of these inexpensive bags you could have already owned a Tamarack ATV box.</td> </tr> </tbody></table>
