Tamarack Tube-It™ Review

Tamarack ATV makes some of the best ATV luggage available on the market today. They have gone a step further in making the all new Box….or I mean Tube-It™ rear ATV storage accessory.

The Tube-It™ is a waterproof, cylindrical storage unit that uses no rack space. This leaves room to mount your bow, tree stand, feed bags or anything else you may typically haul on your rear rack.

Shipping from Tamarack ATV was very fast and accurate as well. The Tube-It™ came with very easy to read instructions and the initial assembly took less than 15 minutes. Tamarack ATV was very gracious in the amount of mounting hardware they included with the unit. The main base plates are made from sturdy ¼" steel and the Tube-It™ cradle is of heavy duty polypropylene plastic. The installation recommended by Tamarack ATV was to use the included u-bolts and mount the steel base plates directly to the rack tubing. Instead I used the flat rack section that is on the Grizzly 700 with my own bolts and it worked out perfectly.

The Tube-It™ is large enough to pack several days worth of supplies. Dimensions are 35" long and 14" inches in diameter and 11" inner diameter. These dimensions translate to 3 cubic feet of storage. The two end caps provide easy access to your supplies from either end. The end caps are very course threaded and should not cause a problem screwing them tight even in the dark. They also have a silicone type gasket to ensure that water can not enter. You are` able to pack a large amount of items in the Tube-It™ , which I found to be perfect for this past weekends getaway up to my cabin for the opening part of deer season. I was able to pack everything I needed for the week long hunt and still had a little room to spare. And with the rack space free it gave me plenty of extra room on the back rack for extra gear like my cooler.
Another great thing about the Tube-It™ is the rubber retention system that allows it to be quickly attached and detached. This was very convenient for me to pre pack everything prior to leaving for my trip and the molded carry handle makes it easy to carry when fully loaded.

My biggest complaint with the Tamarack Tube-It™ is the size. Due to its location and the height it makes it very hard to see over when backing up and especially hard at night. But this isn't too different than having a really large rear box on the rack. Other than that I was unable to find any additional issues.

The Tamarack Tube-It™ is an extremely functional piece of equipment that will add an extra level of cargo space to your quad without using rack space. This thing will allow taking a days worth or several days supplies without the worry of not having the necessary space. .
