Here's a link to yesterdays ride. Lots of snow up high, :cold: but it's melt'in fast. I figure maybe one ... two more rides at the most ... and I'll be back on "Round-Rubber" ...
.... of course, if I didn't have to work, I could go everyday ... :icon_thumleft: .... but I still work ....

Anyway, here's a few photo's ... I took a little different trial & followed the Gas Pipe Line cut. Not sure I'd be able to climb some of this stuff with soft deep snow ... but next year I'm gonna try .... and I think I could do it from the East end .... but even that's steep.

There's one, where I'm look'in South down Skunk Creek valley ... and the only tracks you can see are mine ... amazing ... I saw a few sledders in my travels, but they were headed to other locations ... :cheer: ;;t;;

Then I have 5 photo's staring with "Low Bridge" ... coming down Skunk Creek Canyon, there where these quakies bent over the trail ... well ... I couldn't get under them, so I went around, and the last photo is where the Grizz is climbing a small tree ... it was pretty cool ... and those 5 photo's are taken from the video I took ... I'll try to get some of that loaded this week.

I also added some Google Earth maps & I posted one of the Map Profile from my mapping software that gives ya an idea of the climb & descent. In it, the green line is the elevation ... and the blue line is how the throttle was applied. :wav:

Oh ... so NOW we're friends ! :eek:

Well, to tell ya the truth ... I may take off work tomorrow & go rid'in (early mind you, before the sun starts melt'in the snow) ... if I do, I am actually going to try setting all three cams up ... on my head ... that ought to look cute ! :rotfl: .... anyway, set all three up & take a couple vids & then I can really compare the quality of each. Only problem, there is no real good way to mount the EPIC on my freak'in head or on the side of it :icon_scratch: ... I'm gonna try some stuff tonite & see what I can come up with. :idea1:

Speak'in of the $800 wonder ... WOW !!! .... what a NICE camera & some great accessories too (one reason the bill came to $800 mind you) ... :cheer: :cheer2: :cheer: :cheer2:

But you want me to send you the Go-Pro to try out huh ?? .... Ummm .... :-\

I guess ... more to follow on that one ..... :coffee:

Can we give the "$800 camera" a real name? I must have missed that part of the conversation.
DANG !!! ... Buster can't keep a secert worth a ... :hello:

OK, Battlegun ... the new cam ... which showed up AFTER I returned home from my Saturday ride, is a VIO POV 1.5 .... and I bought a lot of accessories for it. Can't wait to try it out :cheer:

I've scheduled off work tomorrow ... so the plans are com'in together to go rid'in ... :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Here's the place I bought the camera ....
VIO POV 1.5 Mega Package - VIO - Shop By Brand - Cameras - PointofViewCameras.com

I then bought a mounting kit, a 12v adapter (so I don't have to worry about batteries) ... and some other stuff. ;;t;; ;;t;;

I plan on do'in a review on all three cams ... and have most of it written already .... just need to get some time with the POV & try some things with the EPIC to give it a fair shake ... :icon_thumleft:

So my friend .... more to follow ... :eek:ccasion14:

I thought I heard it as the VIO POV model somewhere. Hope you have more luck ith yours than I have had with mine.
What issues did you have by the way GW ?? .... I've only played with in the house & out in the backyard ... and so far, so good. However, I'd be interested to know a couple things you recommend I keep an eye out for ...

Thanks ... :eek:ccasion14:

I used mine one time and it worked fabulous. Great video (audio stinks, but they all do). The next time I went out I hooked everything up, and the dang thing would power on for a second and then right back off. I replaced the batteries with new ones and still the same thing.

Now, I have figured it out. I have to take the batteries out, hook up the camera, pull out the SD card, and plug the batteries back in turn on, wait for "card read error" re-install the SD card, and then it works. As long as I do everything ALL IN THAT ORDER it works flawless. Or at least until I turn it off.

That's a shame. That equipment looks, sounds, and costs like it should perform much better.

Well ... I made it ... I'm back .... GW, I also lucked out ... I turned the camera off about a dozen times & every time it came back on like it was suppose to. Guess I'll see how it does the next time I use it. :icon_thumleft:

Here's a couple photo's of todays ride .... can you say ... SOB !!?? :eek: .... I had to use my, Never Been Worn, snowshoes as a deadman :sad2: ... but they worked & got me out .... ;;t;;

At one point, while try'in to get out, I lost my shovel ... so I had to wade into this mess to find it .... I thought the "Boys" slapped my tonsils when that ice water engulfed'em ... :cold:

I got some great video ... once I get it put together & uploaded ... I'll post the link.

I like the fact that your quad is down in a water hole that appears to be a lake and you took the time to say F-it, I wanna take some pics.

BTW ... after I got out & got use to the squishing in my boots .... and the "Boys" dropped back down so I could breathe :cheer: ... I went out on the road & took some video with all three cameras .... Let's just say, one is barely OK :sad11: , one is good :icon_thumleft: & one is way good ! :yay2:

I know exactly what you mean, it is quite a pain. Best setup I have found is to carry a roll of hundred mile o' hour tape in your ruck like the old days and secure that Sh*t. Some of y'all know what I am talking about. I actually tape my camera to the top of my helmet with the stuff, works perfect!

BTW, those are some outstanding images. I see now why you carry all that you do. And it's a good thing you did. No sense in being un-prepared.
