Since I'm not the lightest thing to walk the earth, I run my rear shocks at one notch below the stiffest year round. Up front, I have them on the stiffest setting for plowing to help fight front end squat while plowing. When I'm not plowing I usually move them down one notch below the stiffest as well.

It's tough to have a "one setting fits all" for the shocks. Everyone rides different and weighs different amounts. Play around with the settings and find out what works. I don't like any of the settings so I'm planning to change things completely. :glasses2:

So put on some weight and stay on the top notch which will in effect make it softer, or drop some pounds and go down a notch. :dontknow:

Good idea, I was implying more of eating a few donuts a week until the stiffest setting felt softer. :laughing7:

I don't think many are my size and since I put the lift on one down from stiffest is just right for the way I ride. In other words I leave very deep foot prints

What changes do you guys make to your shocks when plowing? I've heard all the way up in the front and stock setting in the rear...is the norm? Seems to me this would be about right but maybe even make take the rear shocks down a notch.
I'd get some highlifter heavy duty springs if i was you. My Dad put them on his Grizzly 660......plows much better. i think its great for fast riding also.....handles alot better with the body roll and such......great mod......although it will ride a little harder.
