We have been tossing around an idea with respects to plastic fade/discoloration and life span of plastic on ATVs, UTVs. We realize that replacing dulled, worn out, nasty plastic on most of these vehicles is expensive so we thought we would see how much interest might be in the following product?

It is basically a water based product that will add shine, slip, protection but most importantly help with regards to UV light tolerence, fading, cracking and plastic wear. This product will have UV inhibitors that will prolong the life of plastic and help keep the color from fading and all the other riggors the sun places on these vehicles. It is not a product that will bring old plastic back to life, it is to prevent it from happening in the first place. We have Quick Hit Detail Spray that makes old look new again if you need that.

Please let me know if such a product would benefit you and the ATV, UTV community?

Thanks,

Mark, I personally think this sounds like a great idea if it will do what you say. Personally, I use a detail product on mine whenever I clean it that does slick it up so that doesn't bother me. if it will help keep the plastic from fading for those that plan on keeping their ride for awhile, I think it will be great. I've even used WD-40 on my plastic prior to mud riding to help the wash factor so obviously then, slickness isn't something I care about myself.

Sounds like a great idea to me!

Thanks for the replies. We have thought about making our Mud Guard product that would include the UV inhibitors. We are going to run tests to make sure it does not pose any issues with the components in the Mud Guard and other issues. More than likely it will be added to the Mud Guard as well as a stand along product.

Sounds good to me, I have already noticed fade on my quads and that is just after one full summer of riding!
