Polaris Announces Limited Edition ATVs for 2009

Minneapolis, July 29, 2008 – Polaris Industries today announced the company’s limited edition ATV offerings for 2009. ATV enthusiasts will be able to get the new Sportsman XP in two limited edition packages.

The 99 percent-new Sportsman XPs feature an 850cc engine that churns out 70 horsepower or a 550cc engine delivering 40 horsepower. The units feature an upgraded Dual A-Arm front suspension, Rolled IRS, better clutching, and an updated look that includes better ergonomics, new wheels and a better fit and finish.

2009 Sportsman 850 XP LE, Nuclear Sunset

Additional features on the limited edition model include:
  • Nuclear Sunset paint
  • Extreme front bumper
  • PIAA® lights
  • Work lights
  • Rear rack extender
  • Winch
  • Front storage box
  • 14-inch Black cast aluminum wheels

The MSRP (US) is $10,499, and the MSRP (Canada) is $12,499. Machines will be available in US and Canadian dealerships in Fall 2008.

2009 Sportsman XP LE-Browning

Two Browning editions will be offered in the Sportsman 850 XP and 550 XP models. All include the following additional features:

Mossy Oak® New Break Up™ bodywork
  • Camo-pattern rims
  • Hand and thumb warmers
  • Rear rack extenders
  • Gun scabbard with Lock & Ride™ gun mount
  • Rear work lights
  • Polaris 2,500 lb winch
  • Browning logos

The MSRP (US) for the Browning Sportsman 850 XP is $9,899 and the Sportsman 550 XP is $8,299. The MSRP (Canada) is $11,899 for the Browning Sportsman 850 XP and $9,999 for the Browning Sportsman 550 XP. Machines will be available in US and Canadian dealerships in Fall 2008.

Saw a Nucular Sunset Edition last week. Its sweet! Adds a lot of accessories for less than you can buy them separately for. Adds more weight too. I liked the front and rear bumpers but the orange was too flashy for me. Make it in black and it would be really nice!

Here is a new Special Edition XP that just came out. From what I was told only 100 of these will be made.

It is outfitted with everything the Nuclear Sunset Edition comes with. Winch, Storage Box, Rear Rack, and Front Tube Bumper with PIAA lights.

Forget what the color is called. It sure is cool!! If I didn't already have a stealth black, I would scoop this up!
