In light of a recent post CLICK HERE I thought I should post a follow up before the review hits. As stated in the linked post, the outlander has left me covered in mud. I thought I had pin pointed the problem. Well, if muddy water could find its way through the floor board, any water should be able to do the same. This isn't the case. I was recently riding on a slushy, watering roadway at speeds in excess of 30mph and I did not get the first drop of water on me.

I guess I need to take back the statement about the splash protection on the outlander. ( I still don't know why I got covered in mud and not ice/snow/water?)

:update:

Here I go having conversations with myself again, but I just took an evening ride in about 4 inches of snow. Of course the roads are pretty slushy at this point. Again, the only water I got on me was from the peltering snow falling from the sky. My legs, boots, and back where virtually dry.
