how'd the big horns do compared to the aggressive mud tires.

Well we are very cautious when we are that far in the bush about doing any serious mudding. A clogged radiator and overheating bike makes for a very long day when you are 75-100 miles from the cabin.

The Bighorns do excellent down in that country. The more I ride them the better I like them. I am learning the limits of the tires and am adjusting my riding style to them.
