Wow Bandit, I have a 10 year old nephew and a 10 year old cousin (once removed) and they ride good, but I just can't imagine them popping up like that! I'm not kidding either when I say they ride good. What's your secret? How do you keep your nerve teaching him?
I started him off on a CRF50 the day he learned to ride his bike with no training wheels. Since then he has went thru several rides, He has had 2 bikes and 4 quads and he is only 7...lol He was into racing and loved till i started taking him down to Wayne National Forest with us last fall and now all I hear is I want a Utility with racks and storage and want to hit the mud! So I think im going to go with the Grizzly 125. I just wish it had a foot brake and a rear disc. I guess I cant have it all...lol
Oh...to answer your question, how do I keep my nerve teaching him. Well the first time he rolled it and ran over his head(had on a helmet)trying to teach him to high speed power slide. It scared me bad and before i made to him to check if he was ok, he got back on and completely abused it for about an hour and a half. He has taught his self most every thing from just watching me and I set back and cheer him on...lol But mom gets scared and dont like to watch.
For some people certain things come easy for them and riding is his thing. Me on the other hand I dont think anything comes natural...lol
