Went for a ride today .... what a freak'in blast !!! :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumleft: We had everything but sun ... some snow, some wind, cloudy as all get out, fog, rain, & white-out ...... check out some of the video's & pics ..... if this freak'in link works .......

http://s679.photobucket.com/albums/vv152/GunnyE9/22%20Jan%2009/?action=view&current=IllVideoYou.flv

There are three video's I think are cool .... :headbang:

The link should take you to the video titled ... "I'll Video You !" .... we each took the others camera & videoed the other at the same time. Too funny !
:sign10:

Then look for "Chase Bike" ..... and the third one titled "Down the Trail" ... that is a self "As I went down the trail" ... I was hold'in my digital camera in one hand & driv'in withe the other. You can see from the front of the bike going up & down, the trail is not real smooth.

Those are the coolest lil tanks I've ever seen. Looks like you guys have a blast riding in that snow.
YEAH BUDDY !!!! :yay2: :yay2:

I on the other hand have forgotten what snow looks like. It attempted to snow here in VA the other day. We received a whopping .5 in of the stuff. I was only able to do about 6 donuts in the road before it was melted!
I'm pretty lucky, cause I love winter, a lot of people here don't :dontknow:
What I'm not crazy about is rain in the valley where I live during winter. We've had four days of heavy rain .... if all that rain had been snow .... I'd have over 3 feet of the white stuff at my house :cheer2: :cheer2: ..... instead of the mud hole in the backyard from try'in to turn the Grizz with the tracks on ... "Hi Honey :hello: .... don't worry, all that grass will grow back .... HONEST !!!" ;;s;;

Gunny, the tracks are pretty cool. I've seen pics of them on your quad and on other quads but have never seen ATV tracks in action. The video you posted really is cool and gives me a feel for 'em a bit more than the pics. I gotta ask: It seems like your RPMs are up there a bit when it's running at low speed. What kinda mileage do you get with the tracks on? Is it horrible compared to tires. Obviously there are other variables, like weight, terrain conditions, but it seems like RPMs would play a big part unless the video camera made it sound like it was turning more RPMs than it really was.

Cool video though!

Depending on how fast (fast for the tracks) the RPM's run between 3600 to 5000 (give or take a little) I put one of those hardline tachs on last year, and sometimes I even remember to look at it. :eek:ccasion14:
The drive sprockets gear the bike down, so it's easy to get moving & climb stuff (drifts, hills) .... but unless a guy is mak'in his own trail thru some trees, or just kinda tak'in it easy, most the time you have your throttle pegged.
Mileage ?? Oh man, the last ride we did we only put 20 miles on the GPS. I still had gas in the tank, but I figure it would take 3 to 3 1/2 gals to fill it back up. (I haven't as yet BTW)
However, I did a ride one time with tires where we were in 4-wheel drive all day. Low at times & some low lock, we did 22 miles that & I needed gas. And with tracks, you're in 4-wheel drive all the time.
I've done one day where I put 52 miles on the GPS & used about 7 1/2 gals of gas & could added some more when I got back to the truck.
They also cut your top speed in half or almost. When my speedo reads say 36 mph, the GPS will read 19 to 21 ..... and if a guy is in any kind of snow besides hardpack, your average top speed, by the GPS, will be between 9 to 15 mph. But you can anywhere. It's amazing .... :cheer:

And once you're out on the snow .... the going slow part seems to get rolled under the tracks ... I had my buddy take a really cool video last ride & I wanted to post it .... come to find out when I went to his house to get a copy .... he didn't have his camera on video. I think the guy was hung over that day & I was not very happy with him. :protest:
