I've been looking for a boat ,canoe rack for our Big Bear . The lads who I know that have them made them themselves but surely somebody makes a commercial one and I have heard of them but can't find them . All help would be appreciated in my quest . Thanks .

If I were going to do this I would custom make mine as well. I would probably go with something that u-bolted on the racks but wouldn't overlook the option of 2" reciever connections on the front and back. With the rack connection idea one could fabricate more points to mount things such as oars, life vests, helmets, coolers, etc.

Good luck on your quest.

Dang you lads are great . Thanks again . I'm really liking the look of the motovan and kimpex carriers the more I look at them . I see with the kimpex one you can even add a cover although that part is not high on my list but may be nice for clients if I return to guiding .

I know ,I know Buster W . I picked it up yesterday and assembled it in about an hour or so and took some pics but I can't get it attached to the bike without figuring something out because that frigging big queens chair/ combo utility box that I have for the bride to sit in just doesn't allow for enough room to attach the carrier . I see they have a kit that supposedly will address this situation but for a $100 bones I think I will think about it for a bit . :dontknow:

I'll put up some pics of the assembly later today but there won't be any of the carrier attached to the bike unless you come up here today and fabricate me something lad . LOL. I'll supply all material needed , good steak , beer , hot tub and pool if you bring the know how . LOL

While your at it though you can look at some pics in the Yamaha forum on here to see how big the brides ,queen size chair is and what I have to work around . I could remove the dang thing but it is handy and comfy for her and even me if I'm riding backseat after I have had a few . LOL
