KFX-700 Graphics Kit by Blown Concepts

<table style="border-collapse: collapse;" id="AutoNumber1" border="0" bordercolor="#111111" cellpadding="10" cellspacing="0" width="101%"> <tbody><tr> <td width="63%"> After the completion of the Project X Renegade, it left me envious and needing or actually wanting another new quad. According to my wife, 3 ATV’s in my garage was enough and I was going to need to be satisfied with what I have.

That being said, I decided it was time to dress up the looks of my KFX-700. Having only a handful of graphics kits available for the V-force, my choices were really basic and not at all attractive. I decided to contact Robb Kaiser at Blown Concepts and see if he could start working on a killer graphics design for the Kawasaki V-force.

Knowing the Robb’s experience with custom vinyl graphics on various other vehicles in the powersports industry I was confident that he could create a one of a kind design that would set it apart from all the other ATV’s at the track.

Robb had presented me with a basic layout and I immediately loved it. We traded a few emails regarding what sponsors needed to be integrated and it was time for Robb’s imagination to commence in manufacturing a kit that would take the dreary 2004 V-Force from the average kid in the class to a proverbial rock star.

When the graphics arrived, they were amazing. Robb’s keen eye for detail created a truly awesome design. The graphics were perfectly matched to compliment the V-Force's orange base color. I couldn’t wait to get the Blown Concepts graphics installed.

Installation

<table style="border-collapse: collapse;" id="AutoNumber2" border="0" bordercolor="#111111" cellpadding="10" cellspacing="0" width="100%"> <tbody><tr> <td width="36%"> </td> <td width="64%"> My excitement on getting the graphics on the bike quickly waned when I realized I had never installed vinyl graphics on an ATV and hadn’t the slightest clue as where to begin. A quick Google search gave me numerous videos on how to install vinyl graphics on automobiles; looked easy enough to me. You gotta love “YouTube”.

Installation is really relatively easy, clean the plastic, clean it again, wipe it down with Isopropyl Alcohol, using a spray bottle with a few drops of baby soap and water (shake to mix well) and spray heavily onto the vehicles surface the vinyl will be adhered to. Peel the vinyl and place on the freshly sprayed surface; the soapy water acts like a lubricant allowing you to move the vinyl into the position you want. Once satisfied, begin forcing the soapy water solution from behind the vinyl with a small hand held squeegee; I used a squeegee that is used for applying Bondo for bodywork. Keep working until all of the water solution and air bubbles are forced out. You may want to use a hair dryer or heat gun on section with severe curves.

After all the vinyl was installed I then let it sit for 24 hours to give the adhesive proper time to set up and cure.

Final Thoughts

<table style="border-collapse: collapse;" id="AutoNumber3" border="0" bordercolor="#111111" cellpadding="10" cellspacing="0" width="100%"> <tbody><tr> <td width="63%"> These graphics from Blown Concepts are an awesome add-on for the V-force. It truly is a one of the kind vehicle now. It also revived the dreary machine making it look new again. The vinyl that Blown Concepts uses is what appears to be a base decal with a heavy duty thick clear vinyl overlay. This certainly ensures durability and longevity in the harshest of environments. This also adds an additional level of scratch protection to your vehicles plastic.

Dealing with Robb at Blown Concepts was a great experience. His patience, creativity and imagination are great attributes which are seldom found in today’s market. Blown Concepts is simply a great company to deal with.

If you are looking to improve your ATV or UTV, give Robb a call at Blown Concepts and give some eye appeal to your boring machine.
