Grizzly 700 Handle bars

15849 Views 24 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  BATTLEGUN
Does anyone have any after market handlebars on a Grizzly that also have pictures of the bike with the new bars on it? I'm looking for new handlebars, but am afraid that if I get the wrong ones, then I will lose the heigth and comfort of the stock bars. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Hey justsomeguy99

I put 3.5 risers and Solex Bars on my 450. You can put 5'' risers and solex bars on yours to keep the stock height. I wanted 5'' but the 450 stock bars are a lot shorter then the stock 700 bars.

Thanks for the reply. Also, the picture you posted in the other thread helped alot. It's easier for me to visualize it with a picture rather than just by brand names. Much appreciated. :)
Our family has had five Grizzlys all together, and it seems like we end up changing handlebars on all of them for one reason or another. The OEM handlebars are horrible, maybe that is the reason, LOL. Anyway, after trying several different brands I have found best results with Fasst Flexx handlebars combined with Rox risers. They are expensive, but the fit, finish, comfort, and quality is absolutely unmatched by any others I have used. Here is a link to a write up I did about them. If they are out of your price range, I understand, but if you can justify the cost they are fabulous.

Thanks for the response. And I just saw the Flexx bars in the Quad magazine and looked into them. I'd LOVE to get a set of them, but I can't really justify $350 for them no more than I am able to ride.

Another cost effective solution. Trail Tech X Bar. They come in all kinds of colors to match whatever your doing and let me tell you. It is night and day difference from stock bars. I haven't written a review on these, but I can just tell you, flat out, they are better than stock. I have 3.5" Rox Pivoting Risers, but on a Grizz 700 you can go with the 5" Risers.

Thanks for the info. I think my mind is made up and I'm going to go with 5" risers and still debating which bars to get. Where did you get your graphics for your plastics? That's cool looking.
As far as bars go, Solex bars are very popular, obviously because they work. The Trail Tech bars were pretty popular before the Solex Bars came out. I went with trail tech to be different. ;)

And to answer your question about the graphics. The process is called water transfer printing and I got it done through Hydro-Dip out of Idaho. You can look them up at hydro-dip.com. I will be doing a review on the finish in the future.

Thanks. And welcome to the site. :eek:ccasion14:
JSG, I would like to add to battlegun's previous post and say that Renthal Fatbars are also very good bars. They have the same fitment as the Solex bars. As a matter, of fact I had some installed on my quad prior to Slex's and couldn't tell a difference in comfort. However, any of them are gonna be more comfy than the stock bars. Keep in mind you'll want to get a CR-HI bend for your 700.

This was the best place I could find for the bars. you may want to call and see if they have them in stock.

Thanks guys.
So the Solex, Renthal Fattbars and Trail tech bars are what I'm deciding between. Is CR-HI a model or a bend style? (sorry for sounding retarded, but I've never bought handlebars before. lol)
Thanks guys.

You don't sound retarded. CR-HI is the bend. I have trail tech with a cr-hi. This is what you want for a utility (unless you have extemely abnormally long arms. Like bigfoot or something.:: D
JSG, when I ordered my Solex bars, I founjd out after ordering they were backordered. So, I ordered the Renthal bars b/c on the MX scene, Renthals were very popular. The day after they shiped, I got shipping confirmation on the Solex bars. Renthals arrived faster so I had to install them b/c anticipation of the different feel was killing me. The very next day I think it was, the Solex bars came in. So I stripped everything back down, without even riding the Renthals, just sat in the seat to feel 'em. I really noticed no differences.

Thanks man. I appreciate the info. I've got to do some online looking and find some deals on either of these bars or the Trail Techs.
Roxspeedfx.com

These guys are pros (seriously). You tell them what you want, they will hook you up. If you're not sure want you want, they can help there too. They only carry Trail Tech and Solex. You can probably get a package deal if you buy the bars and the risers.

That sounds even better!! Ok, I'm not sure the difference in the trail tech and the solex. So I will research them and then give them a call. Thanks for all the information fellas.
For clarification, you can't get 5" BLACK risers from Rox, only silver.
When I ordered my 5 inch risers from Rox, the solex bars were on back order so I bought a set of Pro Taper contour bars and they work great also. I am sure any of those listed above would work about the same. You definitly need to do this mod as it gives so much more comfort and control.
