I am looking to get my son a new quad and im torn on witch one to get. I have it narrowed down to grizzly 125 and a MXU 150.

Deer Hunter(riding buddy from club) bought his son a MXU 150 and I have been very impressed with it every time i see it. And i love the features it has, rear disc, digital dash, and it has 10in wheels.

The Grizzly 125 has drum brakes and no digital dash and 8 in wheels. But it carries the grizzly name and its a yamaha. So i would think parts would be easy to find. I have watched a lot of videos and read plenty of reviews and still dont know what to do. The boy likes them both so he is no help. :)

Here is the manufacture pages
MXU 150
Grizzly 125

Here is some video of the 2 in action:

As you said it would be very hard to pass up the Yamaha Grizzly name. I have never seen or riden a Kymco of any kind but still it's a Grizzly

I really love the features of the Kymco. But the Grizzly is just a Breeze and they have been around for years and proven there selves in the atv market. But all them features dont mean crap unless it wont hold up. And my son rides and dont pussy foot around trails. I just wish they had a disc brake in the rear and had 10inch wheels. But im guessing I can add them later. I did find the wheels but nothing on a brake conversion.

I can vouch for the durability of Kymcos. We took my wifes 300 MXU to WV and she rode the hell out of it at Browning Fork and Indian Ridge. Then I let my 200+ pound buddy ride thru the mud at Busco Beach, and again on the trails in upstate NY. NEVER had a problem with it.

Now Im not to sure on this and correct me if Im wrong. I had a Arctic Cat 250 which I recently sold. I bought it from Bass Pro 2 years ago. They did not give me a title just a bill of sale. When I went to sell it the guy wanted a title. So I thought, no problem, just go to MVA. Well MVA does not do titles for atv's any more. Instead you have to go through a private title agency, so it costs more money. Well getting to the point when I got my title, it said, Kymco 249cc mc. Nothing on there about being an Arctic Cat. You make the call.

Well I would look to resale as well. HE will grow quick and be ready for a new one in no time. The Kymco looks good. I think it has better looks than the grizz on top of the added features you mentioned. When it comes time to sell however the Yamaha name will sell itself. On the other side I do not think Kymoc will be going away any time soon but the name is not as recognized nor related to high quality .......yet

I went to this Kymco dealer today and looked at a left over 2007 MXU 150 and he gave me a price of $2299. I dont think i can pass it up. Another thing i noticed they put Kenda tires on all Kymco quads.
