Weekender and I are headed to Canada next weekend. Im really nervous about leaving the USA and hope they let me back...LOL

We will be parking in Elliot Lake Ont. and headed North from there on our quads for a 6 day adventure into crown land. So we will have to pack or quads with everything we will need to survive for 6 days in the bush. I found a big Plastic trunk at Walmart(lol) last night and going to try and mount it to my rear rack for some storage. But the real problem im running into is how am I going to haul enough gas? Thinking of stack Fuel packs on top of the boxes? I also checked out my winch and I have to tap the motor with a hammer to get it to work, otherwise it just clicks at the solenoid. So any recommendations on what to lube the inside with? I did remove the other end and re greased all the gears.

Congrats!

As for packing the necessary staples for 6 days in the bush I would look into a small agri type trailer. If that isn't available then you may use one of those rear hitch receiver racks like you see on the back of trucks. But you will need a hitch to make that work. I may be a little low, but it would give you plenty of storage space. I have a Tamarack Tube-it that I would sell to you if you were going to be around my area. I could also hook you up with a rear receiver hitch.

As for the winch....Go Warn! But really, just take it a part and clean it real good with WD 40 and re-asseble it with a generous amount of silicone grease or. Thats what I used to do with all my winches that werent maked WARN :laughing7: ;;s;;

That should be a great trip and welcome to Ontario. Don't forget to pack a fishing rod because your in some of the best brook trout country in the world plus many other species . Grouse and ducks will be opening by then too incase your a hunter . Keep an eye out for early moose hunters as well as bear hunters .

Have a great trip and be safe .

GrizzlyWizard i wish i had time to hook up with ya. But im looking into getting one of those wagons. I have access to a John Deere Wagon that would hook right up to my quad very easy, but the tires are a little small and the axle dont have much ground clearance. Ill have to check the rim size i may have some taller tires around here in garage.
Here is the cart I can take with me...Do you think that could with stand getting pulled by a ATV with that solid suspension?

Bandit, I hope you guys have a great time up there. Maybe I can join you on one someday. I wouldn't worry so much about the trailer suspension, but rather the tires. These yard carts are usually sold with one or two ply tires that won't hold up well at all if you are going through rocky areas. Switch to at least highway rated tires if you can.
