EHS Racing Rincon Air Box Cover Review
After installing the
EHS racing cover on the Yamaha Grizzly 700. We liked the performance so much we decided the Honda Rincon was due for one as well. Eric at
EHS Racing sent us the kit to get us started.
The
EHS Racing air box kit arrived and off we went to get it installed.
Tools Needed:
- Jig saw or coping saw.
- Black marker
- 3/16” Allen wrench
- 7/16” Open end wrench
- ¼” Drill bit
- Hand drill
- Sandpaper
- Metal file
- Safety glasses
Installation is very simple and
EHS Racing has included very good instructions on installation as well.
Now let’s get on with the install….

</td> <td width="369">
Begin by laying all your parts out on your clean work space.
</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Step 2 </td> <td>

EHS Racing engraving is perpendicular to lid retainer clips on the side.
Drill a pilot hole through one of the aluminum plates into the OEM cover.
</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Step 3 </td> <td>
</td> <td>
Put one of the included bolts through along with a nut and tighten.
Align the aluminum plate back and tighten the nut with the 7/16 open end wrench and 3/16 allen wrench.

EHS Racing aluminum plate and repeat step 3.</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Step 5 </td> <td>

Now for the review part.
As with everything that we have received from
EHS Racing the quality is top notch and customer service is second to none. Careful attention to detail is given to each part that is made.
EHS Racing engraves its name into each of the aluminum plates truly giving it that custom look.
This particular modification actually performed above our expectations on the Rincon. Before you had to really be in a perfect spot to get the front wheels off the ground. After installation we were able to bring the wheels up with very little effort.
Keep in mind that this modification may not be for everyone. The installation takes about 1.5 hours and requires a minimal amount of skill with some common hand tools. If you do not feel comfortable in tackling a project like this on your own, you can purchase a completed kit installed on a new OEM air box lid directly from
EHS Racing.
You will need to re-jet your quad most likely after installing this cover. We will be showing an instructional "How To" very soon.
We are happy to give the the
EHS Racing Rincon air box cover the "TORTURED" stamp of approval.
Pros
- Great Customer Service .
- A must have for any performance modifications.
- Great power gain.
Cons
- May cause problems if riding in deep water situations.
