Well, due to the lack of rain, and people willing to ride, I got bored and pulled out the paint gun. This is a work in progress, not sure if I'm going to stick with the color, but here is the frist stage. I think I may do the cover in front of the driver where the gas access is and the rear black plastic. What do you guys think?

I like it ........ not as much as black mind you ....... but it looks very nice. :cheer:

Do you think, should the sun hit it just right, you'll get any "Flash" to yer eyes ?? .... that would be the only draw back I could see, to such a nice, "One Of a Kind" paint scheme !!! :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumleft:

I have a question for ya ... how good does this "Paint" stick ?? .... cause some "low contrast" suttle flames would look cool .... if ya could get some on the fenders & still be able to see'em ?? :cheer:

Later ...

Well, the flex is not a worry for me with the sections I'm painting. The paint I use is automotive paint, which has some flexability. I'm not set on the color yet. Like I said, work in progress, I didn't think about orange, which is one of my fav colors. I may re think my color scheme, I just want sometning that goes well with green. That section of my plastic was a little dull, so I fig why not. I'm just trying to make a one of a kind. Something different. I won't paint anything on the fenders, they take to much of a beatin from sticks and mud. That is why I did the parts I did. I can change the color easy enough. If I don't like any other color, I can go back black. But, I don't want to paint the other pieces until I find the color I like. I am ok with silver, just because it will go with anything. But curious of what other colors might look like. I wish I had a photo shop prog that would do that kind of stuff, I would know with out all the work.

They are not great Photo Chops...but they give you an idea.

I personally really like the orange and the yellow.

First: Great work on the paint.

Second: Plastic expansion on that part prolly won' be that bad. If it sticks period, I'll be amazed. I know they sell paint for that application and hopefully that's what you used.

Finally: Color wise, I'd go with some sort of pattern in whatever color you want with black as the backround. Don't know if you can do that or not, but that would be saweet.

That was sweet Mack. I need to be able to do that here. Can you change that to any color? So far I like the orange, but not sure if I like it more than silver yet. That was cool chop tho. I'd like to see a maroon or maybe purple. What software are you doing that with?

I might try a pattern, but I'm good at painting, but not so good with imagination! :) Thats why I was wanting suggestions. Got a few good ideas now. I want to go get good n muddy and then do a good wash to see how it holds. I paint plastic all the time, but it don't typically have the texture of this plastic. So, I'm with you on will it hold. I think it will tho. there are some prep chemicals we use for new plastic that should solve the release issue. Like I said, this is all just a test. If I don't like any of it, I'll just buy new plastic for those 2 pieces and move on.

Ok here is the latest. Since I already had the front silver, I went with that color until I come up with another color. This is the middle section done.

I agree about the graphics, as soon as I get it all done I will look for something that I like and go from there.

SWEEEEET!!!!!!! AMR Racing has some sweet graphics....look and see if they have them in green for you. Would look sweet. Since the skullz only go on the outside of the fender i suggest maybe getting some graphics from blown concepts for the inner part.
