Monster, we have reviewed the Dalton for an Outty and are currently reviewing the Dalton for a Renegade. We have seen good improvements with it for both quads. The kit for the Outty is a little different than for the Renegade b/c of weight and tire size differences. That being said, I recommend the Dalton kit from what I have seen on my Renegade and our other "Tester" (Battlegun) has seen on his Outlander. Some people will recommend the Dalton, some will say the EPI and it bascailly gets down to what they bought and spent money on. We know the Dalton kits work on the Can-Am 800s and there is no reason that their same philsophy wouldn't be applicable to the Grizz. I say go for the Dalton.

I don`t know how the MB cam works with a stroker but with a 734 bbk and port and polish it makes great low end power and flattens out just past mid range.
From my experience do some head work to get the most out of your build.

Call Eric at EHS racing he will hook ya up with what works together.

Thanks, but my days in the deep water are DONE so i won't just be looking for llow end im looking for both low and and top end oh and dads pissed i don't blame him, i have a bent and twisted connecting rod i have rust on my valves crank, i had burn marks on all my gaskets had a warped cylinder, had anti freeze leaking in the cylinder.... oh i was riding it around like that lol...grizzly tough ;)

BUT.... im hoping to get my low end with mudbuster cam, and hoping the stroker crank n bore helps with more low and with speed, then when i come up with money maybe dalton clutch? or do you think that wouldn't work?... sorry im still new with all the engine mods.. all i know how to do is rip down a grizz and put it back together... i don't know much about modding the motor yet, thanks for your help

I would do a stage 2 cam if your looking for a good all around cam. Take a look at web cam cams their cams are showing good gains all the way to the top

You're only gonna get so much outta a Grizz. I had one, I tried, and went to the the Can-Am.

I'm not trying to bust your balls but it is what it is. If dad won't let you upgrade, do clutch work and be happy with it. You can get good performance out of the Grizz with clutch work without doing all of the engine stuff.

Ya know, the Grizz is a great riding and better riding machine than my Renegade, but power mods are dead. Like I said, it is what it is and it depends on what you want. I was willing to sacrifice ride and handling for performance.

You have to make that decision and convince dear ole dad.

I want to add that if your are stuck with the Grizz, you can improve it with clutch, cams, pipe, airbox mods, big bore kit, etc. But, at that point you could have sold it and gotten and Outlander and had to do no work.

Ahhh. The ole grass is greener on the other side syndrome. I've seen lots of Can-Ams doing their thing in the mud, and I've seen lots of Grizz's doing the same. For what you do, put a CVT Kit in the Grizz and stay yami. You will notice a nice difference if you work on that CVT a bit while rolling those mudding tires.
