Thought I would see what Camera(s) you guys are using. I'm now in the market for a camera that is good with video and pictures and it needs to be fairly compact.

Oh yeah, Click here to see the video endeavor that finished off my Nikon. It still works but is sort of messed up. :laughing7:

I use the Olympus Stylus 790. Waterproof, shockproof and dustproof! Not many cameras can or will make that claim. It is compact and takes great pictures. I bought this camera specifically for using on ATV rides. I have been intentionally trying to break it and so far no luck. I would definitely buy another!

Thanks GW. What's the video quality? I figure its hard to find a good pic cam that does good with flicks too. The claims made by the manufacture of this camera are certianly impressive.
I will get some video posted from this past weekend trip. I won't edit it so you can judge for yourself.
The Olympus takes good pictures for a point and shoot. All pictures I have posted on the site are taken with the Olympus. What I like most about it is it turns on and is ready to take the picture in 3 seconds or less. Plus the obvious fact that it is robust enough for a camera to take along on the trail. The next factor for me was it's compactness. I need to be able to keep my camera in a pocket so it's easy and quick to deploy.

If you want great pictures....get a canon. Hebs has a very nice point and shoot setup with a waterproof housing for it. It takes phenomenal pictures and video for a point an shoot.

If it wasn't for the waterproof, shockproof and dust proof features of the Olympus I would only own Canon products.
Go with the PowerShot. I have one and it has been an excellent camera. It is kind of in between a point and shoot and a SLR. You still have plenty of adjustments like WB and exposure to allow for excellent pictures.
