My nephew was up visiting for Christmas. He is an Iraq war veteran. before he went in the service he lived with my family and rode often. On Christmas night he asked if he could go for a ride. I handed him the key to the Rincon and off he went. An hour later he came back in a pick-up. It seems he went off the trail and wedged my machine between two trees. He pulls my axe out of the tool box and cut the smaller one out of the way. The problem with this plan was that the smaller tree was on the low side. Once he cut it the ATV rolled over several times on its way to the bottom of a 50' revine. Two winches, three machines and a couple hours later most of it was back on the trail. I've got a pile of stuff to fix. Two week waits on some parts is too long. I've never gone two weeks without riding it. A thank you goes out to ATV-Guru. I have (had) one of his custom bumpers on the front, and while the bumper is smoked, the nose of the ATV is un crushed. Oh well, I'm off to the Honda dealer and then out to the garage. It WILL live again!!!

Wow! What a story. I'm glad he didn't get hurt, but I'm sorry as well that your quad got bashed. You know this is a depressingly common incident among Veterns returning home. There is the emotion of things experinced that have you longing for release, but unfortunately, the skills for some forms of release (motorsports, driving, etc) are severely weakened from the long absence. I've read about way too many Vets having mishaps like this one but with much more devistating results.

Anyway, hope you get your quad back soon!

$916.00 in parts not including the ATVGuru bumper. All parts should be in by next Friday. I can't wait. I rode 31 miles in the snow on my wifes Rancher 350 today. Poor little thing took a beating trying to catch up. At least I was riding.
