ATV trails get financial boost

Planners working on ATV trails in Pike County got a boost this week when Gov. Steve Beshear’s office announced a $100,000 grant coming to the county for planning.
The grant was a part of $1.2 million shared by 25 communities for similar projects.
“I am pleased to approve these grants for projects which will continue to promote an active, outdoor lifestyle for families and individuals across the commonwealth,†Beshear said in a statement. “The Recreational Trails Program is essential for maintaining and expanding our state’s existing network of trails that cater to such a variety of interests and ages.â€
