Did you roll the quad? Is the quad carbed?Just new to the forum, I hit somthing with my wheeler and it stopped me quickly, now it starts hard and sometimes barely runs.
Wondering if anyone has an Idea what may be wrong with it. its an arctic cat 07 650 H1 TRV Thanks
I'm feeling kinda dumb here, but I wonder if the needle didn't get jarred loose or one of the other jets? Maybe a senser somewhere got knocked loose or a hose? Have you given it a once over to make sure all electric items and hoses/cables are secure?I did not roll it, but the boat got rocked, it is carb.
Thanks for the response.
No worries my friend. A thread is simply this conversation or a series of posts to a topic. No one here is that uptight that we don't understand when people are new computers or the sport. As for your quad, it kinda baffles me. I would start with a repair manual or owner manual troubleshoot chart. Clymer makes a really nice repair manual.I didnt have a chance yet to give it a good once over, and I was not that familiar with it yet because I just got it and only have 250 miles on it. I was kind of thinking it could also be something with the fuel pump or a line getting jarred loose in the tank. I have not looked yet but I am pretty sure it has a fuel pump in the tank. I was hoping someone else had the same problem and could save me a lot of time.
Thanks again for any suggestions.
P.S. I am kind of new to this computer and the first forum I have ever been on, and have little Idea as I navigate thru the site what a "thread" even is. So I am learning as I go here. If you have any suggestions, feel free
Thanks
I've not heard of that...but that doesn't mean much...sorry.Greetins all,
I am brand new here, so I am still learning the site, please forgive any errors!
OK, my friend has a new 2010 Artic Cat 1000 Mud Pro. It is over heating and popping a code PO116. The machine is still under warranty and at the dealership. However, the dealership claims that they have never heard of that code and claim that the bike is not over heating. The dealership does not have a place to ride the bike to make it over heat again.
I had the bike out last weekend, did some light riding and it had over heated in 45 minutes. The radiator is clean and the fan does come on!
I am guessing either the thermostat, as that would be my first guess if it was anything like atuomobiles/tractors/etc. Next guess is the water pump, however it is impossible to see into the radiator without taking the whole front end off the bike.
Has anybody ever heard/seen the code PO116? What is the code for overheating??
Please help.
Bill
To my knowledge most codes must be reset by a dealership mechanic.Hey, do you have a procedure to reset the diagnostic codes? Or will it do that automatically?
regards simon

I have an '09 Mud Pro and experienced the same thing. It overheated the day I brought it home and was greatly annoyed! First off, there was a 10 amp fuse for the fan and it needed to have a 20 amp. It just blows the fuse each time when the fan tried to kick on. There is a primary relay for the fan. The fuse is suppose to be a back up in case the relay fails....which mine has done as well. Check those first, they are easy fixes. Hope this helps.Greetins all,
