I would be really curious to hear what the exhaust note sounds like with the new slip-on. Is there any chance of posting vid through you-tube? Some action video would be pretty cool!
As a matter of fact, as I write the review, their will be some video done of just that. I will also be mounting a GoPro helmet cam on the back to see how the sound records from it but I'm not very optimistic. Who knows.
I will say it is quite a bit louder than stock but it isn't obnoxious. It's a very deep and throaty sound rather than loud and raspy like many exhausts.
It is 3 different tip options: a turn down tip, a cone shaped tip that points straight out the back and a super trapp type tip. We'll be experimenting with the different sound levels each tip solution provides.
There it is. Wierd, this is the first time it has come up, Before this, it just kept saying 'video has been removed'. Oh well, thanks for the video, that's great!
I do want to make a correction to a statement I made in the video. At some point I said that the AAEN was about 6db louder than stock at idle. After thorough testing with a decibel meter at idle, the stock proved to be louder than I originally thought and the AAEN was only about 2db louder.
I will also say that probably today or tomorrow, I will be putting up the full writeup/review of the AAEN that has some good charts included in it for temperature improvements as well.
I have been looking for a pipe for my 2009 Renegade and have only heard good things about the Ron Woods kit. I think it would be a great addition to project X. I would love to see and hear a video of the exhaust system, seen some on youtube but most were bad quality. Thanks for all the informative info.
The Ron Woods systems has been tested by one of our members, 3TV. Maybe you can PM for his input. I personally love the AAEN. The only sound clips I have is the one that I posted a few posts back in this same thread as a walk around video of it. it is a pretty good clip of how it sounds.
