I would be very surprised if it was the same....and besides theres WAY more to it than motor mounts!

You might want to re-think the 3'' body lift. I did a 2'' on my truck and anymore frame exposure would look shitty.

I have a 2'' suspension lift and a 2'' body lift. and its alot higher than stock. I want to do a SAS tho and get 10'' LOL

With a ford you probably already have a straight axle and you can jack that bitch up real high real easy

lol ight...
1. yes motor mounts VERY important, since if a motor is not properly mounted then some serious shit could happen, And dont be surprised if there the same, if there ford motors then ya they very could be the same....

2. this truck is 86 rusted to shit, i dont care about frame showing! in fact the more frame showing the better the more room i got my mickey thompsons, since a body lift only 200$ where a suspenion lift is around 1000$, i do plan in a few months tho a 4" susp* lift not right now and got the cash....

does anyways else have any input?... 3TV? i think you know some stuff about this
ok, so...
1st things first, the 302 is a small block, compared to the 400 big block it wont fit with the 302 mounts.
ON THE OTHER HAND.... if you have 400 mounts, it may work i wouldn't be surprised if it did...
2nd thing...
the 454 is a GM made motor... it will definately NOT fit on the f150 pickup, nor would it fit on a chrysler pickup or car... if it did, goodluck keeping it that way. 2nd thing, a 3" lift doesn't expose too much frame so that it looks goofy, and it's a rusted out '86, who gives two flying shits if you see 2 inches of the frame?.
another thing, suspension lifts don't help as much for just wanting to fit 4 inches more of rubber...

thought you were on my side traiter!... you ride in the box! or the bumper your choice!
and Mack450, on an 86, there actually isn't much more to it then mounts... if it's mounted right, all it is, is the wiring, in which case, is literally next to noting.

and you can tie yourself to my front axle while i drive over 3 inch spread speed bumps at 60km/h :)

ow...:club:
Well thats cool then.

When you do the 3'' BL make sure you unclip anything that will need to stretch...that way it wont break. Also unclip the brake lines where ever they are hooked up. Most likely they are going to break somewhere in the lift...i had 1 break and my truck is a 2000 and the brake lines were not that bad and I only did a 2'' body lift. LOL.

Make sure you post some pics dude. I bet it will look bad ass.

Heres some pics of it. Its currently just in a daily driver stage. Eventually when I get a different daily driver I plan to put a solid axle in the front and get a good 8-10'' of lift....then put some 37s on it....probably chop the back out...make it look like a avalanche kinda..lol
