Currently, staff and the consultant are developing the full plan and environmental assessment. We are tentatively  planning to release the La Posa TMP and Environmental Assessment for public comment in mid-January/early February.”  Learn what is in the plan for the public lands around Quartzsite, AZ.

The American Lands Access Association meeting was such a success that the second annual meeting has been scheduled for Quartzsite, Arizona for 2012. An open meeting of the American Lands Access Association will be held on Friday evening, at 6:30 PM, January 20, 2012 at the Quartzsite Alliance Church on 720 Desert View on the north side of Quartzsite.

From Main St take Hwy 95 north to Tyson Rd. and turn left (west), go about .75 miles, or take Moon Mountain Rd north to Tyson Rd. and turn left and go to next street, Desert View, and turn right.  Park in the big parking lot in front of church..

This meeting should be of interest to all rockhounds and to anyone who recreates on and uses public lands. The purpose of this meeting is for outreach to rockhounds and the public at Quartzsite;  to let them know about ALAA and what we do.   It is to let rockhounds and the public know the legislative and regulatory challenges and issues facing all of us and how they can and should be involved.
