I went with Ford because I've had good luck with them. In all honesty, I think Chevy and Toyota's are great trucks too. More often than not, it is the manner in which the vehicles are driven that cause them to fail.

I voted for Chevy. I think all trucks these days are near equal when compared to their classes. My daily driver is a 2006 Dodge 2500 4X4 and it has held up to some hard mileage.

My other truck is a Chevy Avalanche. I can't complain with it either. It gets me 18-20 Mpg pulling my quad trailer.

Chevys have the mileage thing down but F150 and Tundra got the power.

Guess its all about what you need though.

This is a very subjective question. People are going to be all over the place. I voted F150 because I own one. But if you take all the new trucks out there right now. 2009 Ram, 2009 F150, the revently redesigned chevy's and tundra's...they're all nice and have some really unique features. I'd take a chevy or a dodge engine over my fords any day. The 5.4 liter is an ok engine but it doesn't have the sound of the other two. I'm really curious to see the small diesels and hybride powertrains come to the truck market.

needless to say if I was heading out to buy a new truck today. It would be a black Dodge Ram. The new truck is just very sinister looking, gorgeous interior and some cool innovations.

Long live trucks!

I voted Dodge because my rigs get worked hard. My '03 Ram 2500 has over 150k on it . It has been plowing snow, pulling trailers full of concrete forms and used to truck stuff all over our trail system for trail work. It's not so pretty any more, but it still loves a good beating.

I think the differences between the HD and LD trucks are profound.

If I were going to go with an HD Truck it would still be Ford or Chevy. I will admit the HD Dodges look really good, but I have just had bad experiences with them.
