Gibson steering stabilizer
OK I think I am going to install one on the Brute. I found a site K&K that has them for 159.00. However I have not received a definite answer as to which one I get. I was told the one that fits the KFX will bolt right up. Does any one know? I sent an e-mail to K&K to see if they can help out as well.

Re: Gibson steering stabilizer
Looks trick! I wish I could help you more with which model would fit, but I'd be doing exactly what you are doing to find out.

Re: Gibson steering stabilizer
I am doing some research on this as well. I have been told the TRX450R has the same size steering stem as the BF and requires very little shimming to make work properly.

I'm looking to put one on my 07 450 Grizz, I think just to measure the steering stem diameter then order according to that should be all the info. needed. Is that correct?

We actually tried out one of these. It really didn't perform up to our standards. It is a great unit, just not for our style of extreme riding.
This has been a few years ago, they may have upgraded their system since then.

I really wouldn't consider myself an extreme rider, mostly we do forest trails and desert trail riding. Go to Utah a couple times a year, Colorado once a year. I just experience some arm fatigue and an occasional jolt to the hands and arms, shoulders and I'm 66 . LOL

With any steering stabilizer, you will notice more arm fatigue as it provides more resistance to the handlebars. This resistance is what dampens the jolt when you glance a stump, tree or bounce into a rut. I will make the quad slightly harder to steer.
If you are traveling at high speeds and this is an issue then the stabilizer will prevent that feedback and allow you to maintain control in the event you glance off something with the front tires.

I assume that you can dial in the stabilizer and lessen the resistance to steering but still maintain a certain degree of shock absorbtion.. I notice most of these have 6 or 7 settings. Is this correct?
