New Boards Now Available!

I wanted to let everyone know that today, I've added quite a few new areas to the forum. Hopefully, this will make posts better organized and easier to find down the road.

I encourage you to scroll down the main page and make a mental note of the new boards that have been created. This will save the Admins the time having to move new threads that have been started in the wrong category.

Since some categories are new, it's possible some older posts will be moved to a more appropriate, new spot.

Please be patient with us during the transition.

Thanks!
Buster

Re: New Boards Now Available!

Actually, there were only a few new areas added. The "Regionl" board is pretty large however. As for the other ones, most were actually just moved around.

Some of the technical stuff was originally done as "child" forums up under a "technical" board. Giving them their own category may have just made it appear to be mroe spread out where in all actuality they really aren't.

That's true. It just looks more spread out this way. At some point when the site gets more traffic, some of the regional boards might need to get condensed together if some portions have less activity than others, but other than that I think this will serve pretty well as long as people post in the right places.

Very good points Owen.

Also, note that I did just create a Tech Talk Board under "Appearnace, Care, Maint. and Reviews and put all the technical stuff back under that as child boards. That way it won't appear to be so spread out wherein it really still is.

I just dislike the look of "child boards".

Hehe, I'm just the opposite, with the child boards you can see a list of what is in that part of the forum without having to have all separate forums. Plus you don't have to scroll up and down as much to find what sections you need.

Same here....and I'm the one that made Grizzlywizard do that in the first place.

Owen, looking around at more and more forums, I find a lot of them have a huge layout like this. But it will help to keep organized.

Re: New Boards Now Available!

Keep the ideas coming folks. This site is for you so we want it the best it can be for YOU. I've added some children back and created a couple of new ones.
