IF YOU RUN ACROSS A DEAL THAT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS. ATVT HAS BEEN HIT HARD IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS WITH SCAMS. THEY OFFER UP REALLY NICE ITEMS AT UNBELIEVABLE PRICES, USUALLY AROUND $2900, AND GIVE CONTACT INFORMATION. THEY FURTHER LURE YOU IN WITH REALISTIC LOOKING 3RD PARTY SHIPPING WEB SITES WHO YOU CAN CONTACT AND THEY WILL VERIFY EVERYTHING. DON'T FALL FOR IT.
I wish I had a way to deal with the people, but unfortunately, I don't. Most of them live in another country and laws do not cover it. Spam filters don't block them because they are real people, not software. I can only delete and ban the current IP Address they are using.
If you find a deal on ATVT that you want to pursue and feel that it might be a scam, please bring it to our attention and don't act on it. It's better to miss out on a good deal than get robbed. Remember, if you fall for these scams, there is NOTHING anyone can do about it and that sucks.
