Passiveness never won squat.
Well, I am doing what I can. I wrote my delegates when the bill was introduced to the house. I then wrote both of my senators after the bill went to the senate for debate. Finally, I re-wrote those senators and expressed that I'll do everything in my power to try and make sure they do not get re-elected.

And BG I here you, that is one of the reasons why we let these things happen, we become passive and become tired of hearing about it and we start ignoring it. We preoccupy ourselves with things to keep from thinking about it rather than trying to learn about it.

3TV is right again, I guarantee we'll see no improvement in the system. Hell, we'll see no benefits from the system for 4 years after we start paying for it.

BG, you struck a nerve, sorry for going into rant mode at you. I think I have had too much time on my hands reading, this health care bill is bad for my health.

I don't care if you rant. Feelings not hurt at all. I think all of you guys are on point.

Maybe not this time, but you can make a change. Educate yourself on who the best candidates are to represent your beliefs and values then educate others on the same.

We may look back and say that we were all wrong. I hope so. But I have a gut feeling this won't be the case. Our current system that was in place had huge holes in it and was failing miserably. I don't trust them to have the ingenuity or fortitude to be able to fix it.

formguy is right. The new health care bill is not free. Every taxpayer will be forced to pay into this system whether you have health care with your employer or not. You will not have a choice in this.

I'm in the Government, and I pay taxes just the same as everyone else. Well, except that year I didn't have to pay taxes. Kicker was I had to live with people taking pop shots at me with mortars, rockets, IED's, rifles, etc.

Nothing is free for anyone. Bottom line.

I won't even get into why this particular GHCR Bill is bad for not just me, but the entire country. I don't have the time and I will no doubt offend someone somewhere.

I will say that I wouldn't mind helping those who are trying to help themselves. That makes sense and stands parallel to my beliefs and moral values. AND i agree with GW....
