KFX 700 rear gear fluid?

Well I want to change my rear gear fluid on my kfx 700 but i dont know what weight I should use? Rocky Mountain ATV has Bel-Ray Hypoid Gear Oil and they have 80w-90 and 85w-140 what weight should I get?

Do not use gear oil or you will be replacing the wet brake system. I only use Kawasaki rear diff fluid. You may use any hydraulic oil which is suitable for wet brakes. However, one must be careful as some oils eat away the brake material or will swell the brake fiber material, then the rear will lock up.

I have heard that Mobil 424 will work for the rear but I have not tried it. The Kawie stuff is only about $7 a bottle and it doesn't take a whole bottle.

That should take a 80W-90 hypoid gear oil.

okay thanks because im pretty sure that the fluid is low in the rear diff of the 650 cause when you give it alittle gas it doesn't really want to go until you give it alittle more gas then it takes off fine and it has a new epi servere-duty belt and a dynatek cdi box?

It may take a little time for the belt to break in before it begins to act normal.
