Fuel Customs Intake System & Airbox - KFX450R

I wanted to let everyone know of a cool product we've found for our Kawasaki KFX450R build project. It is a high flow air intake and airbox made for the Kawasaki KFX450 by Fuel Customs out of California. They also make intakes for other models of quads.

Garrett told me on their Dyno they show 6-7 horsepower gains over stock with a factory exhaust and 4-5 horsepower gains with an aftermarket exhaust and fuel controller.

Here is some info on it from their site:

I don't understand the numbers B-Dub. I wonder why they loose power when adding an aftermarket exhaust?

And I could have misunderstood what he was telling me but this is the way I understood it. With a stock machine, it shows on the dyno going from 38-39hp to 45-46 by adding the airbox.

Now, to a stock machine, adding a pipe shows 1-2hp gain putting it up to 39-40ish hp. Adding the airbox on top of that, from my understanding, still put that quad up to 45-46 hp. The only way I can explain that is that I wasn't clear in his explanation of the power gains, which is very possible.

Fuel Customs joined the site yesterday morning, prior to me even contacting them. Hopefully he will be browsing around and see this thread and can clarify.

With most after market exhuasts on the kfx ,you will see a two hp gain on most bikes with a stock intake. The intake is the real limiting factor when it comes to this bike.
