Angry brute force engine klanging?

checked my oil before i rode, on the way back to the truck something was fishy about the top end power and my motor way starting to clang at full throttle, stopped and checked my oil again and it was barely on the dip stick....
I towed it back to the truck from there and the motor still runs fine.
it dont seem to klang/nock till the motor warms up
Any ideas were to start?
by the way it is a 05 brute force 750i

maybe bad gas and your getting spark knock or if its really load it maybe something in the top end. make sure your oil light is working right.
