Re: KFX700

The 2008 KFX 700 is a brute of a sport quad (no pun intented) with it's V-Twin power plant pushing out 697cc's of adrenline and a noticable rumble that you can expect to demand attention on the trails. Its not as quick and snappy as some other sport quads, but it is still F-A-S-T, and will get that adrenline pumping. It runs with dual 32mm carbs and has a CVT transmission (and it does not offer engine braking I might add). It is a shaft drive, and hooks up with ITP Holeshots off the show room floor. It has a large stance as well which combined with its sluggish handling doesn't make a good match for fast and twisting trails (but you'd smoke their tail in the straights).

What else you want to know? Oh yeah, the retail for this unit is $6499. Hope this helps a little.

Re: KFX700

When you change the wheels to a smaller size (20"rears and21" fronts), change the front shocks it make the V and mean trail bike. But if you really want to go fast then change the rear shock and I think you would love this bike.

Although slightly heavier than the 450's the v makes lots of power and you don't have to shift which frees up a few seconds on the hole shot and getting out of the turns. When in hill climbing situations its a champ with great weight ratio from front to rear. I will also add with the right shocks front and rear and the write tires it makes a competitive sport quad in any type of racing or trail riding.
