my new big deer pic
Well, I've been watching this one for 3 years now. he never comes in during a legally shootable hour. Only twice in 3 years and no shot during those two times. Well, this year he's bugger and badder than ever. We're estimating he's about 6 years old so this year needs to be the year. This is in my backyard in a neighborhood by the way.
By the way, this year, he's 20 points, possibly 21. There are a few hidden points in this pic but it's the best pic.
Needless to say, I will be in the stand tomorrow night and both days this weekend.
Click the pic to enlarge.
Enjoy!
Buster

Re: my new big deer pic
That's a nice rack, but the deer looks a lil small... Where do you live?
Here's a pic I took last week in Illinois. I just wish my digital camera had a better zoom...

Re: my new big deer pic
Those are some awesome pics. I would live too see something like that where I hunt. I never miss with my bow but I missed this one twice last year. I knicked a branch the first time and the second time I dont know what happened. The last buck showed up when my camera was dying.

Hebs, those are some large deer bro. Very nice. Not that any of the pics here were of poor deer. Great goodness I've got to get ready for hunting season...and get one of those cameras!

Re: my new big deer pic
I actually built my camera. I couldn't find a reliable trail cam on the market that took great photos. As a matter of fact Bass Pro customer service said defective trail cams are their biggest return item. I was using the Cuddeback Extreme at one time which is a $400 plus camera. After going through 3 of them in a year and a half, I said screw it and built my own. Going into it blind was kind of intimidating but once I found the right place to buy from and the right resources on how to do it, I'm glad I went this route. Plus, I'm using a Sony Cybershot camera in my enclosure. The daytime pics are pretty good too.

Re: my new big deer pic
LOL...Yeah...I won't be spending $400 nor trying to build one. If I can't get a l-cheepo then I'll just try real hard to imagine what the deer look like and where they are.
BTW Bman....that last picture made me laugh out loud. Dang squirrel stealing the show.

Re: my new big deer pic
Those damned squirrels are really putting a dent in my wallet eatin all my corn. During teh weekend I watch the feeder on my wireless network camera and everytime I see one, I go plink him off with my 22. This weekend I got 7 squirrels. This morning when I got to work I saw 2 more in teh freakin feeder. Their days will be numbered. Anybody like to eat squirrel. If so, I can ship some to ya on dry ice.
