The highest mountain in the northeast is just over 7k feet, bearly even a hill out west, so I have not run into that problem.

Well after spending about 6 hours riding a 09 rincon i have decided to keep looking. While it is one of the best handleing bike i have ever rode the lack of low end power is just not for me. Thanks for all of the advice. I am going to get some seat time on a grizzly and see how i like it
