An optional Electric Shift Program (ESP®) allows for easy shifts with the touch of a handlebar-mounted button. Factor in a powerful, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 420cc engine and you'll see why the FourTrax Rancher has long remained a favorite. For 2010, the Rancher and Rancher ES also feature a new seat with added foam padding for increased comfort and a new rack design that facilitates easier cargo lashing. Available in Red and Olive. In dealerships January 2010. MSRP: $TBD

In addition, the Rancher 4x4 can be had with the ease and convenience of Honda's Electric Power Steering (EPS). Both the 4x4 and EPS models receive pre-load adjustable front and rear suspension for 2010 that can be altered to suit specific riding conditions and terrain. Other upgrades for 2010 include a new seat with added foam padding for increased comfort and a new rack design that facilitates easier cargo lashing. Available in Red, Olive and Natural Gear Camouflage. In dealerships September 2009. MSRP: $5,999.00 - $6,799.00

For 2010, both the 4x4 ES and 4x4 ES with EPS feature pre-load adjustable front and rear suspension that can be altered to suit specific riding conditions and terrain. Additional upgrades for 2010 include a new seat with added foam padding for increased comfort and a new rack design that facilitates easier cargo lashing. Consider also the independent rear suspension, selectable 4WD/2WD TraxLok and a rugged torque-sensitive front differential, plus a variation with Electric Power Steering (EPS), and it's clear there isn't a better choice for reliable and rewarding ATV recreation. So for 2010 the big changes are preload adjustable shocks on one model, and a seat with more foam in it?

Biggest thing Honda has in a Utility is a 675 in the Rincon for 2010 and a 675 in their "Big Red" side by side for 2010. And wow, that 675 Big Red is 11,999 MSRP. Holy smokes!

There. I cleaned that mess all up. Let me try this again. Honda is def. on the cutting edge of technology, I just wish they would offer a locking diff and larger bore.

You are joking right? "cutting edge of technology", in what genre? While every other manufacture has passed them by with new and innovative ideas, they still stick with the what they want, and not what the customer wants.

Rincon for instance....Great machine, but it lacks power, a locking diff which is not necessary for many people), low gear and engine braking. Aside from displacement, it is the same bike since 2003! How is that cutting edge? The hydrostatic tranny isn't anything spectacular, they have been building tractors with the same setup for years.

Honda Reliability....I can find 5 people with the "Reliable Rancher" that have had major electric shift issues. Some of them have spent over $1000 in service repairs to have the issue fixed multiple times.

Honestly, look at the Big Red. I have been told by some dealers that they never even wanted to start selling these things because they were so ugly. I think I would rather choose the Polaris vintage Golf Cart.

Honda has been riding on the Red H for years. I will give them praise for their great marketing.

Rant mode...OFF

Well maybe cutting edge was the wrong choice of words (again). your rant brings very valid points but you overlooked power steering the selectable shift transmission and the comfortable ride. Their motors are very reliable. I would consider that pretty good technology. If it's not what the consumer wants then why do they continue to buy them up?
