Talking Pit Bull ATV Tires First Impression

As many of you may have seen on the front page of ATVTorture.com we are testing some new ATV tires manufactured by Pit Bull.

Without letting the cat out of the bag with regards to our product review, I just want to express how impressed I am with the performance of these tires.

Some of you may know that I am getting ready to undergo major back surgery. So obviously my riding has been somewhat limited. However, in an effort to collect some more data on the Pit Bull Growler tires I decided to go and do some slow and technical type of riding to see how they performed.

While I love the Bighorns for their multi-directional tread pattern, and the ability to do very well in nearly all terrain. One of the biggest faults was in their low speed technical ability in muddy situation where tire clean out speed is not an option.

The Pit Bull Growlers solve this problem unequivocally. These tires work phenomenally well in everything I have tried so far. The only issues we have encountered was due to ground clearance so far.

I also want to gauge how well they wear, so hopefully in the next few weeks we will have the full review for you to read.

Well, we got some snow finally yesterday. This gave me an opportunity to test how well the Pit Bull Growler would do in the snow. I gotta say, I am totally impressed with these. While many tires would pack the snow in their tread, they Growlers cleaned themselves out rather well.

Now, for some this would be a positive (and it really is for me too). But we do enjoy being able to fish tail the RZR around a little. The Growlers just grip and dig.

I am really digging these tires. They remind me a lot of the Interco swamplites.

Do you have any pictures of them on your ATV?

These may be my next set of tires. They look awesome. Can't wait to read more about them.

You won`t regret buying the pit bull tires they are the best tires I have tried to date. I have tried the Growlers and they are great in all conditions. as GW said they work better than the big horns especially in the wet slippery stuff.
I now have the Rockers to try and if they are anywhere near as good as the growlers (which will be hard to do for my type of riding) They will will be the best all around tire on the market. The rockers are also an 8ply rated tire and only gained 1 lb over the Growlers.

Ground clearance will not be a issue when the bigger sizes become available.

I am having a hard time finding these tires to buy online. I found one site, and they want $117 each for them. Anyone know where to get them cheaper.?

In Mike's review he mentioned Pit Bull Tires made and sold the tires, but when visiting their site I couldn't find a place where they were selling them. They did have a dealer locator though.

These tires are very new. They may not be available at all online retailers yet.
