Re: What hav you fabricated for your quad?

The last thing that we fabricated was puting a john deer tractor muffler on my wifes 2007 polaris sportsman 450. Worked out awesome after the jetting was tuned in and the idle adjusted. Talk about Redneck fabrication!!!!

Re: What have you fabricated for your quad?

OK, this has been out there since Nov of last year & I got a warning about replying to this thread ...... hope it still works.

Here's a list of items I've fabricated for my bike. Some I have flicks of on my garage, some I don't.
1) Front & read winch mounts (so I can put my winch where I need it. Cut up a $200 front bumper/grill guard/winch mount, to do this)
2) Snowplow winch mount (mounts the winch vertical so it's a straight line pull, not over rollers)
3) Cut up a perfectly good front basket to make a front rack add on so my gas cans, etc, don't fall thru the stock rack onto the bike plastic. Can removed if needed / wanted, real easy, 4 J-bolts.
4) Took a Yamaha grill guard for a Kodiak, (ordered while deployed. 2 yrs later figured I couldn't return it) & made it fit my Grizz.
5) Dual remote oil filter setup
6) Engine oil cooler setup
7) Rear diff support (they have them for Rhino's, so I thought, "Why Not ??)
8 - Inner fenders to seal off the frame while running tracks to keep snow from building up inside the frame & A-arms. (The A-arms still need work)
9) Rear gas can / cooler carrier
10) Grill guard to protect oil filters

I think that about covers it ...
Later ....
Gunny

Re: What have you fabricated for your quad?

Nothing on this one but my AC I had a grill bracket welded for the speed rack system. I had a bucket holder fabbed for the rear for ice fishing. Diamond Plate CV protectors custom made. Light bracket that was made to hook up to AC windshield bracket. Lights moved with pod. made my own audio tube.

Re: What have you fabricated for your quad?

Thanks Gunny. It worked well. Looked like the Beverly Hillbillies' rig. LOL
