Anybody with any experience with HID

Just wondering if anyone has done any form of conversion or checked into it for that matter?

Expensive! May be worth it if you ride a lot at night.

If you know the type of bulb you need (grizzly is H4). I would recomend the slim ballast kit from ddm with the extra accessory harness that allow power to be taken straight from the battery but still activated from stock headlight switch. I have th 55w 8000k kit in mine and I think it was well worth the money. Don't mess with the bi-xenon kits in an atv though I have them in my truck and they can't take as much abuse.

The camera wasn't really capable of picking up all the light output, but you can get a small idea of brightness.

Any idea how much additional current they draw? I am pushing the max output on my stator as it is now.

If you run the 35 watt kit it will create 40% more light output with less amp draw than a 55 watt halogen. The only reason for the accessory harness is for startup, those first few seconds when the bulbs are heating up it draws more amperage than when running. I don't think the startup ampdraw should have any ill effects as the current will reduce dramaticaly after they are warm and most of the time those surges of current are well within working range. The 35 watt ballasts draw about 6 amps on startup but runs at about 3.4 continuous. So the 55w ballasts should draw about 9.43 A starting up and run 5.3 A. The stock 35w headligts on the grizzly draw around 3 amps and if you have replaced them with 55w bulbs 4.5-5 amps.

I've used the DDM Tuning HIDs in my RZR...they are awesome. I gave them to a friend of mine to put in his RZR and I currently use SideXSide Customs' HID kit....35w, 6000K bulbs. I absolutely love these HID lights.

I have the DDM HIDs in my truck and love them. They seem to out last some of the others that I have heard about and are a very nice add on. I will probably put them on my Raptor one of these days. At Glamis you are constantly getting blinded by all the HIDs out there.
