Rigid Industries "E" Series LED Light Bar Review

Rigid Industries "E" Series LED Light Bar Review

As ATV Riders we are all in search of better lighting. Rigid Industries has the answer with their E Series LED Lightbars. After speaking with Jason Christiansen CEO of Rigid Industries. I ordered their 10” LED lightbar flood beam with the U cradle mount for my Yamaha Grizzly ATV.

First off the packaging was great. Everything arrived in perfect condition. Upon taking the light out of the box, the first thing I noticed was how, solid it felt. This thing is heavy duty. Nice black matte finish case and super bright lens reflector make this light unit jump out at you.

General Specifications

93% Optical Efficiency Shockproof No Vibration Fully Dimmable 20 LED's with 50,000+ Hour Life Span Easy Two Wire Installation 3.17 Amps 38.04 watts 3200 Lumens Patented Hybrid Technology runs lights at 90% efficiency which is unmatched in the industry. Dimensions: 3.375" High 3.625" Deep 11 3/8" Long Why LED? A light-emitting-diode (LED) is a semiconductor diode that emits light when an electrical current is applied in the forward direction of the device, as in the simple LED circuit. The effect is a form of electroluminescent where incoherent and narrow-spectrum light is emitted from the P-N junction in a solid state material. Advantages of LED lighting: 50,000 hour life expectancy Very High Lumens per Watt No glass lens to break No Bulbs to Burn out No Ballast to Mount Rigid Industries Advantage, it's all in the reflector. Patented Super Efficient Reflector 93% efficient vs. 72% "Brand X" reflectors Available in both Pencil and Flood Beam More Light with Less Power, Heat and size. Much Father Projection Multi Source Light No "bouncing" beams Virtually eliminates HID vibration If one LED fails the other LEDs will not Greatly Reduces eye fatigue

So here is what I receive in my kit. The E series 10” led light, with relay and wiring harness. 2 standard aluminum mounting brackets, optional U cradle mount with mounting hardware.

I installed the light on the 2 light tabs provided on my Yamaha heavy duty bumper. I did however have to modify the U cradle to fit. The slots in the base of the U cradle were about an inch to short. So I had to mill them out to work in my situation. This is in no way a fault of Rigid Industries, as the U cradle is a universal piece, and will work in most other applications. I must say the 10” E Series LED Lightbar was made for this location. It fits perfect, and looks awesome.

Wiring this light is quick and painless, as Rigid Industries
has done all the hard work for you with their wiring harness. I mounted the relay under my pod. Attached the red fused wire to the battery positive, and then connected the black lead to a ground. I ran the switch up along the handle bars, and zip tied it in place for now. Last step is to plug the wiring harness into the light, and zip tie all wires out of harm’s way. That’s all there is to it.

Now to answer the question on everyone mind. How is the light output? One word, “Blinding”. My 55w Hella’s don’t even compare. In this picture I have the 10” E Series LED on as well as my 65w silver stars on high beam. The real test will come on my first night ride. I don’t think I will be disappointed one bit.

Rigid Industries Comparison Tests.

The above is a comparison of a set of Hella 500 Driving Lights against the Rigid Industries 10" "E" Series LED Light.
